This long staying over wintering Spotted Sandpiper at the Hayle Estuary was part of a West Cornwall rarity fest which included the nearby White-billed Diver, 2nd winter Franklins Gull, possible Eastern Lesser Whitethroat, Pacific Diver and Yellow-browed Warbler. A remarkable day though tainted slightly in the fact the Glaucous-winged Gull showed in Wales.
