Numbers of Pine Buntings at Quoy were increasing daily. Yesterday a second bird had joined the original bird and today a third arrived. As I had not seen the new arrival yesterday I did not know which one was the second bird and which was the third that arrived today. The first of the new birds was seen briefly when it flew up the hill to a small sheep cru and the next I came across was as I turned around to see it perched on the fence !! Unbelievable arrival. This is the bird from the Sheep Cru below Quoy Croft.
