Olive-backed Pipit - Hill Dyke, Fair Isle October 2014
I have seen numerous Olive-backed Pipit's over the years in the UK, many on Fair Isle, but this bird was by far and away the most confiding as it walked up and down the length of Hill Dyke for several weeks in mid to late October. A stunning bird.

The first series of images were taken using the 400mm F5.6 lens hand held in very low light on the 20th October, not ideal by any means whilst the second set, taken on the 24th October,  were with the 500 f4 tripod mounted.
