This bird was doing what Grey Shrikes do best; catching passerines. Eventually tracked it to the water tanks where it was seen with a freshly caught Meadow Pipit before it made its way back to it's larder along Hill Dyke. Low light, strong winds and distance meant that images are not great.
This bird had been seen around the Plantation trap on and off for a number of days, though I had not seen it there myself. It was eventually caught and brought back to the Obs to be processed and was the third bird of four I saw during my trip.
