Shag, Southend Pier, Essex 19th January 2014
Not many Shag's get found locally these days with generally only one or two putting in an appearance with the Pier being one of the traditional sites. This bird appeared only briefly on the falling tide
Shag, Fair Isle, June 2014
To be honest the breeding Shag's on Fair Isle were not the most accessible with this breeding plumaged bird being photographed at a rather acute angle, I must improve on this species.

Shag, Fair Isle, May 2016
As with my previous spring attempts with the Shags on Fair Isle they were not always the most accessible, often looking straight down the cliff at them.

Shag, River Crouch, Essex 10th January 2017
An impressive local winter for this species with about 4 or 5 along the Crouch estuary.

Shag, North Haven, Fair Isle October 2018
Seems the poor autumn weather was resulting in many more shags than normal to linger around the island.
