The was the target on immediately arriving on the island and it was seen well at Midway before it flew towards Upper Leogh where it continued to be seen daily until the first couple of days of June after a month long stay. It had a habit of sitting low and stationary on the ground and often in long grass and was seen to 'cough' on more than one occasion, appearing to try and bring something up. When it was feeding it looked fit and well which was in contrast to when it was on the ground.
During my time with the bird I had to contend with rolling fog which prevented me getting the really bang on pictures I was hoping for but here the nearly full wrap around collar can be seen, the large white unmarked rumped and 'wheatear' like tail pattern. Top bird.
